Splitter are functional " but not on the street " splitters look cool. but the potential " on the street " even for a guy who's is conscious can be problematic. A lowered car looks great, a lowered car with a splitter can be expensive and riddles with grief. Its why I dont have one.

I have plenty of Zaino.. The car has 3 bottles on it.. @ 10 applications a bottle. I would never give up the Zaino.. but what I did, took me 10 minutes and was very impressed... only because it enhanced the Zaino that was already there.. When the paint looks wet, as it does on my car, its a good thing. I would use the product again and BTW, Ive been using this product on my wife new Black Kia Turbo Her car has a dozen coats of Zaino on it.. it looks better than new. Its five months old.. WE have a high infestation of Pollen. Its important to get that off everyday before it turns acidic.
BTW, research is how I found Zaino., 20 years ago, when Sal Zaino was making his stuff in his garage in North Jersey.

Corbeau Evolution X Seats
Installed these today, needed 1" spacers in front for thigh lift, they sit a little lower than stock, sits nicer than the OEM seats.

You never did say what the bottle was, was it this?

Last week I did my yearly clay bar/correction polish, and then tried Meguiar’s Ultra Liquid wax which is also a synthetic. I had been using Collinite which is carnauba. I was very impressed with the Meguiar’s.
I guess I’m asking if the Zaino might do the trick to get my car into the wet look class. Doing the math, I’m assuming you have 30 coats of Zaino on your car. How often did you apply it? I know you’ve had the car for years, but you’ve never done any intervening polishing or clay bar?
Thanks
btw, viewing a car online IMO is not a way to evaluate one car against another or to compare waxes. However, no car I’ve seen online has the shine yours has.

I decided this weekend to experiment with fixing one small chip in vette thinking if it went well I could continue with other chips. I ordered correct color, clear coat etc.. I detail on the side so I have experience with wet sanding and the like. . Everything went well except color did not come out the way I was anticipating. I have correct color but wasn't a match. Not sure why? Anyone have suggestions?

I did look at Dr. Colorchip seemed okay but expensive and since I already have the paint and clear coat don't want to spend $65-75. My issue is the paint color when I am done is off. I might try to fill another chip with a tiny bit of putty smooth out and then paint, wet sand, clear coat wet sand and buff and see if that gives a better color result. I am wondering since is was just paint that filled the hole if that caused the different color?

I’m not an expert or an overly successful paint chip fixer, and I’ve never tried any of the ‘color chip fixers’. However there are certain pitfalls, the first, most problematic one is color. Do you have metallic paint? Almost all metallic paint fill in jobs are a nightmare because of the nature of metallic paint and its pigment. As we know from colorshift paints, viewing angle is a factor when one looks at a metallic paint job, even if it’s a single color.
Secondly, one major trick is getting the right amount of primer/color/clear to fill the chip without raising the ‘top’ of the chip too far above the rest of the paint.
Third, leveling. How do we level the surface of the filled chip to match the rest? Wet sanding with tiny pieces of sandpaper? Which grit do I use? How do I keep damage to the surrounding surface at a minimum? I stumbled on a tool called a ‘nib file’ which looks like a curved tooth rasp that’s only about an inch long, mounted to a small piece of wood. It’s supposed to be used for run removal. I’ve seen it referenced for chip repair.
So now I’ve thrown all this info out there but I’ve never tried the entire process.

I agree. Going to be tricky. Worth another try I think in a spot that one can't really see. Probably won't get to it until the weekend. I will post how it went.
Thank for your insight.

The first video uses a technique with a razor blade but is really worth watching. The other 2 links discuss the nib file in detail. If it ever stops raining around here I will be attempting a fix of a chip that’s been bothering me.

My car is 20 years old, it has alittle over 100,000 miles.. Ive done 75 miles each way to Atlantic city Casinos many times.. Ive been on I 95 hundreds of times. I do not have one chip on my car. I dont follow anyone too closely, there is a certain amount of luck... and a lot of Zaino. I have no other reason for this and yet many people have tons of chips on their car.. Its either their roads, their driving practices, or dried up paint that chips from lack of lubricity.. IM not bragging here.. I'm lucky for sure,, I dont have one chip on my rear brake ducts... Everyone knows this is a recent photo of brake ducts that have been on my car for 15 years. ( Note the wide body quarters. ) those rotors are 18 years old and have at least 80,000 miles on them
