Default Insurance recommendations for low mileage

Looking for some recommendations for insurance for my ultra low mile Z06.
Anybody have a claim that was not settled to their satisfaction?
Any information is appreciated.

You can get a quote online from Hagerty, NCM, Gundy, et al. I am going through the same thing - so far NCM seems the cheapest. I have a 98 C5 which I have owned from new, but these days it only picks up a few thousand miles/year.

My plan is to pick one by month end as my insurance (Allstate) is up for renewal in early May.

USAA. Wrecked one and they had a check for more than I could have sold it for in my hand within 48 hours.

If you don't mind my asking, what is the market currently getting for a low miles and presumably unmodded car such as that?

Talk to Adam Boca at the NCM. Have had them for a couple of years now. Great prices and service. There are restrictions that he will explain.

Someone on the forum just sold a red Z06 with 15,500 miles in the
St. Louis area for $26750. Took about 5 weeks to sell.

I just went with NCM insurance, in fact, it just kicked in today. It's more expensive than my State Farm was but I now have agreed value on my sport cars, all heavily modified.

For my C5, I have it insured through the National Corvette Museum. Agreed value policy, 3K miles/year and zero deductible for a lot less cost than I could get elsewhere. Give them a call and see what they can do for you.

I sold my Heavily modded 02Z last summer, also with under 13,000 miles on it. I had it insured through Grundy for $700/12mo 40,000k agreed value and $0 deductibles.

I just switched to NCM last month. You can get a free quote on their website.

They are located by the National Corvette Museum in Kentucky. I went with them, must be in a locked garage, I purchased under 6000 miles annually but you can buy more, cannot be a daily driver and you have to supply them your other car insurance. I named my price at $16,500 value, sent pics and it costs me $324 per year. Easy folks to deal with. No claims and hope to never have one.

I also say NCM.. went with the 6k mile a year, occasional drive to work policy. like others have said, you have to have It in a garage, and provide insurance info for your daily driver vehicles.. but the coverage and rates are pretty hard to beat. cut my state farm policy payments in half. under $500 a year...

Just insured my 2011 base coupe with 10K miles for $490/yr and $250 deductibles. That is less than half of what I have been paying. Very pleased so far.

Default Corvette Insurance

Thanks all who responded to my request for insurance recommendations.
I am in the process of getting quotes from Hagerty NCM and Grundy.
I am sure they are all much lower than want I am paying from State Farm.

It sounds like you are on the right track. I currently have 2 Vettes insured with Hagerty but will probably switch over to NCM once my current policy expires. NCM's rates and coverage are very competitive.

Another vote for USAA. Good service on my uncle's rear-ended truck.

I'd love the agreed value part, but the mileage restriction would have to go...
