Recently Installed Corsa - Deceleration pops....
Hi all, I recently installed a used Corsa sport exhaust, I have an x-pipe (not sure what brand). Since the install i am getting the loud popping on deceleration. I replaced a TI exhaust which was mated to the same x pipe little to no popping on decel.
I have a 2000 vert MN6, with a Vararam Intake. Had the car tuned last year at ECS, was really pleased with the performance but wanted more sound from the exhaust which is why i purchased the used Corsa and had it installed.
Honestly love the sound of the exhaust on acceleration but not really pleased with the popping on deceleration.
Looking for suggestions, anything I should consider to reduce the popping. Thanks.

I have an Corsa Indy Pace Car system on my car. It does have a rumble to it, but I would not describe it as popping on deceleration.

I have Corsa Extreme exhaust. I had some popping on decel. A dyno tune got rid of about 95% of it.

I had a Magnaflow X-pipe with the Corsa Pace car on my 2K Vert and it never poped on decel. Just moved up to KooK headers and Cats which replaced the Magnaflow going out the Corsa, no pops on decel too.

Maybe this is a question for Doug @ ECS - is there a setting or parameter within the calibration that increases/decreases this effect? Maybe some sort of fueling that stays partially on during 0% throttle during decel?

This has to be the only forum in the world that doesn't like deceleration pops LOL.
People pay for "snap crackle pop" tunes on other cars.. the Jag F-type voted one of the worlds best exhaust notes because of the poping on decal and between shifts....
My built Viper was capable of ear piercing pops and crackles on decal... I for sure intimidated many on the streets who would dare line up next to me ...downshift a gear and it sounded like fireworks...
Too many grandpa's around here ... LOL J/K!!
