Thanks for the vid MaxGee. In your 1st vid you say the car is making 450rwhp with the zip tie mod but you don't get close to that with either set up. Do you think you've lost hp since your last runs or any other reason why?
What most are overlooking is the air moving thru the MAF is what changes and settings the engine management uses for the PCM. Most of the computations are non-programmable data GM put in the PCM on what happens. When you increase the air flow into the MAF from a larger volume opening, you actually slow down the speed of the air gong thru the system and that causes the PCM to use less gas to the injectors/pull timing/alter injector timing/etc according the the firmware. To take advantage of the changes tuning is usually needed. While the PCM will make some changes, to a degree, to some of the programmable parameters, that is only 18% of the data that drives the engine management systems. That is why the dual cone air intakes, while giving a louder intake sound, quite often produce a slower accelerating C5. In the late 90's-early 00's we had several club members working at the Milford proving grounds engine testing. They talked about the several configurations they were experimenting with and engine hp, including the upcoming Z06.

Those runs where up to 6k. Not shown in the vid, was another pull to 7k and made 458whp.
