Wheel Lock Key???
Just got my C5 a couple weeks ago, have a bad TPMS sensor so took it to the tire shop to have a new one installed....can't find the wheel lock key...is there a special place that it is usually stored, looked everywhere we could.
Thanks, Nick

Same here, never found the key anywhere in the car. The tire shop had a tool they hammered on to the lock and were able to remove it but the locks were damaged in the process. While they were mounting tires I walked 1/4 mile to AutoZone and got four lug nuts and plastic covers

Mine was in a clear bag in one of the rear cubbies with all the paperwork.

On the floor in the trunk beneath the floor panels there is a little notch where the key goes.

if someone has a picture that would be great, does not seem to be there.
Just sent a text to the PO, hopefully he tells me it's in his tool box in the garage.

There's an indent between the driver's side storage compartment and the center one. That's where it's supposed to be stored.

Ok, found the indent and it's not there.....from what I've read it appears you need the key code to get another, and of course se I don't have that either

I went through this with mine...I understand 2 companies made the locks, Amcor and McGard.
Mine ended up being from Amcor who was able to match the key by a picture I sent them of the lock pattern...
Good Luck...

OK, should I be embarrassed to say after four years of ownership I just spotted that notch today.

I'm happy I was able to help a fellow C5 owner learn something new today...that's what this forum is all about 👍👍

Funny thing, I changed my locks to Gorilla, hated the McGards, and it doesn't fit in the hole!

Never knew the wheels had a lock either, though my excuse is, I've installed aftermarket rims shortly after buying the Vette new. I don't remember using a key to get factory rims off. Were the key locks standard on all years and all models of rims?

Mine had locks but I bought black lugs last year and ditched the locks. If someone wants to steal my skinny 5's, they can have them.

Glad you found the key. Sure makes getting the wheels off a lot easier and a lot less expensive.
