In '99, there was no yellow exterior color offered on a Corvette. In '00, according to the Corvette Black Book, Mil Yellow was not offered on the FRC. So I would have to say that if you saw a '99 or '00 FRC in yellow, it was a repaint. But stranger things have happened.

You're right - I was just assuming he meant the original FRCs of '99 and '00. Plenty of Z06s in yellow.
