DRM Steering rack bushing kit
The steering on my C5 is pretty vague on the highway...it has to be turned a bit from center either way before anything happens.
I did a little reading and some people say to replace the steering rack bushings. Also, some recommend switching from rubber bushings to Doug-Rippie machined aluminum bushings.
thoughts?

If you have play in the steering I would recommend you first figure out what actually has play. It could be the bushings or it could be the actual internal mechanism of the rack, worn out tie rods, or something has come loose. Look at the suspension real close or have a shop do it before you spend money on parts you may not need.
