new look, vinyl wrapped.

I wanted to chime in because I do this for a living. We are more of a large/wide format boutique company that specializes more on the Corporate side of things. Because of this,we do a large amount of wraps on semi's, cars, buses, box trucks, etc.
There are 3 reasons why a wrap will outlast other wraps:
1. Quality of vinyl
2. The install
3. The actual printer (This is called a "color change" vinyl and is pre-printed. If it is printed, like the attached picture, on our latex printer then the wrap will hold up longer than if it is printed on our solvent printer).
If it is 3m (over Avery, Orafol, or Arlon) you will easily get 3 years out of it if it is sitting out in the sun all of the time. But keep in mind matte vinyls don't last quite as long in the sun. The most important factor besides the 3m quality is the actual install. That is what makes a world of difference in holding up.
To give an example, I attached a picture of one of our clients. This wrap was installed a little over 4 years ago and this vehicle sat in direct sunlight all of the time. If you stood back 10 feet you would not have a clue it was not new. The roof and hood were the only real noticeable areas that had started cracking over time. Don't let the pastels fool you. Their marketing department designed the wrap and those colors are still in the same great shape as when we printed them.
As I said, the quality of the vinyl, the printer that produced the wrap, and ESPECIALLY the install are what kept this looking great for as long as it did. We just uninstalled and installed a new wrap for 2 of their fleet vehicles last weekend.
If anyone ever has a need for their business or their car and has any questions about the vinyl industry or any of this I would be happy to answer them. You would be blown away by what can be done.
FYI...that is a FANTASTIC price for that wrap and install...

Thanks for for your input. The film used was KPMF I believe. It was an air release film. They were the ones hat offered this color.

In other cases, mostly our hotter locations like Arizona, the paint below showed signs of burning underneath the vinyl.
