I like it, and I don't. If I saw it on someone else's car, I'd think,"that's pretty cool", just don't think I'd put it on mine.

I kind of feel the same way....my wife is taking a big interest in the vette and I don't want to discourage her

Maybe on a 'Show Car', not on a 'Street Car'. Add some Calipers Covers, Wheelskin, and paint everything in your engine bay body color.

You could not give it to me for free!

Thanks Jack, the PO did pretty much all the "dress up" possible, I'll give her the iPad and a couple websites and let her go at it.

Well, when you close the hood you don't have to see it. If she picks something you don't like for the outside of the car then you're stuck with it always being visible.

I have something like that sitting in my garage and I will never be using it. It came off a wrecked car and I couldn't see them just throwing it away. I will get some pictures of it in the morning when I get home and you can let me know if it's something you would like to have. I definitely won't sell it for what they are asking. I can't remember what year it was off of though.

Only get it if you are going to get all the other requisite chrome corvette doo dads.

I.E., chrome tail light louvers, chrome wheels, chrome cove fins, chrome door strikers, chrome fluid caps, etc......

You don't want to break up the set......

I like the chrome if you are going to be using it as a show car. My question is, GM put the hood liner in there for a reason and made it out of a particular material for a reason. Will something different have an impact on things like paint? I don't know, but there are people on this forum that could probably tell you.
