Default C5 Advice

I'm considering buying a C5 and I'm looking at a 98 with headers, cat back exhaust, and Lingenfelter GT12 cam. I have not looked at the car in person. I wanted to see what everyone thinks of this cam as far as driveability on a daily basis. The car is a 6 speed and relatively low miles. If I purchased it, a supercharger (Procharger D1SC) would be in its future, so how well would this cam work with the supercharger? Thanks for the advice.

If you can swing it, wait for a 2000 or later because the earlier C5s EBCM is no longer available if it goes bad.

Buy what your gut tells you. Auto manufactures are required by law
to make parts for their cars for only 10 years. After market parts
are always available. Good luck.

You're right, it does not exactly address my question, but I do appreciate this kind of info.

NO ONE makes an aftermarket EBCM or SWPS for the 97 - 2000 C5 despite what ROAD PILOT implies.

This guy is 100% correct. Ask me how I know. My SWPS is dead on my 00 and I've been scouring the internet looking for a replacement.

I have a 00 and bought a spare (new) SWPS GM 26058287 Position Sensor for Cadillac Seville ( 98 & 99 mod) This SWPS has the same wiring and same signals according to my manual . It also looks 100% the same when I compare it with a old spare Corvette 00 SWPS (26058286).
The new Cadillac sensor is the left one

Already thought of that one, and I am going to be testing the theory. Just need to hit the junkyard and get one, because I am not spending $200 on a maybe.
