I have been searching around quite a bit, and I have found a lot of super old threads about getting a kit and adding A HUD to a car that didn't have one stock.. I haven't been able to find a C5 package yet and good directions all old and not working. Pictures would also be great, if able! thanks for the heads up!
I have everything to do the install, came with my car when I bought it, but not sure if I'll do it or not. Regardless, here's a thread that I thought was very informative... https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...d-install.html

that's a great thread! thanks for sending it!
That's nice you have all the components already. Do you or anyone else know where to get everything?!

Glad to help. Everything can be found on the auction site, but it's all individual bits and pieces. I haven't added up what it would cost to purchase that way. Install looks pretty easy really. I'm just not sure if I'm into it enough to actually do it.

I feel like you will after you get it! I didn't really care about it before I had one with my last 2002 vette, and it a game changer, so much more efficient driving and can stay so much more focused on the road and where your going. Its great. thanks, Ill have to start getting all the pieces together then!
I did this to my '98 a few years ago. I think this is the thread I followed and it was pretty accurate. I can't remember but think I bought all bits and pieces on eBay, including a OEM bezel for a total cost of about $400 at the time. I was pretty concerned cutting a hole in my dash pad but took my time, measuring more than twice before cutting once and all worked out OK. The biggest problem I had was the new IP cluster ('98 doesn't have the HUD connector) had the wrong mileage in it. I think the following link is the place I found to correct the mileage and all I had to do was send them the PC board from the cluster, and if I recall, it took a little over a week from sending it to receive the updated return. If you need it, check them out. My OCD would not let me keep the odometer with a 70k discrepancy on it, not sure about yours.

Meh, everything to do the install came with my Z when I bought it back in March. I've done a handful of things to the car already and bought LOTS of other parts that need installing. The hud hasn't even reached my to do list. I have a friend with hud on his and I've driven it a few times. Guess I'm just not that wowed by it.
