So I have done a lot of research and sounds like Chadwicks Triple play is awesome. My problem being with having a black z and black midnite silverado I am constantly washing them. My question is wont using the triple play get pricy if I wash each vehicle at least once a week during good weather months and living in upstate ny with pollen and rain more often than I like. My concern is spending a fortune with having to use a lot of the product with the amount of cleaning of my vehicles I do. I'M I CORRECT IN THINKING THIS?
I have a black c4 and a white c5. I use Chadwicks on both as well as my wife's car. I go through 2 bottles a year. This stuff goes a long way. I rinse the cars and then dry them between applications. I know the directions say use the Chadwicks to clean but this has worked well for me and it keeps the cars looking great.
You can feel the surface and know when you need to reapply the Chadwicks. Here is a pic of the black C4:
I use the Chadwicks because it does make the finish look and fell great and it takes hardly no time and effort to apply.
I have a black '99 convertible. I use Chadwick's. You shouldn't need to use it once a week unless you daily your car and it gets dirty. I also have and use a California duster to remove pollen and light dust.
For what it's worth, I'll probably also pick up some Meguiars too for those "in between" washes.
And for those that say these products aren't for "dirty" cars, define "dirty". While I wouldn't use it on a mud covered truck, I would, and have, used it on a typical "dirty" car. Dirty being normal road grime, rain, dust. pollen, etc. It didn't need any more product or extra effort. Spray, pause, wipe.
This is exactly the reason why I don't use Chadwicks now. To do it properly, I was wiping the car down at least twice a week I went through the first bottle in about a month.
If your car stays garaged, this might not be an issue. But for an outdoor car, it gets pretty pricey.
I recommend trying Meguiar's Waterless Wash and Wax! Its 8 bucks on Amazon but u will be happy with the results. I have used Chadwick's for quite some time and although it is a really good product, it is also a bit pricey. The results i got with Meguiar's is equal to Chadwick's! The only difference I noticed is that Meguiars seems to wipe off more easily. I always hand wash my car if it gets really dirty, I wouldnt use either to fully clean a really dirty car though. If ur car stays fairly clean, one bottle should last atleast 2 months, but if u are washing once a week then i would expect u to use more. Still cant beat the price for 8 bucks and get the same results as a more expensive product.
Cost is relative. My black C5 is my DD, but I have a garage. I have been using Chadwick's for over two years. I also use Zaino for the past 17 years. Since my C5 is black, I usually wipe it down every day due to dust if nothing else. I have not washed my car in over 2 years, so that saves me a lot of time, cost, streaks, swirl marks and hassle.
I buy Chadwick's by the gallon and run through at least a gallon a year, but I have 4 spray bottles and use it on everything around the house too. My annual Zaino bill is about the same as Chadwick's since I wipe my car down daily either way.
I am not sure how you would keep any black DD looking pristine EVERY DAY for less than $100-$200 per year unless your definition of "pristine" varies from mine? If I were looking for something cheap to maintain cosmetically, I would not own a Corvette.
Zaino only gets dusty in my environment, so since the California duster scratches the clear, I use spray Z-6 and a cotton cloth. Takes seconds, and glows.
