How much did you get for it? Don't know what you had into it but just curious what a very nice '98 like that is going for nowadays. Don't ever plan on selling my '99. Also have a C2 and C3.
Girlfriend wants to move in together, current house is too small so looking for a new house. I thought she'd be happy but the opposite happened. She is very sad. We did ALLOT of car shows together where she'd drive the 02 and I'd drive the 98 (she was scared to drive it). Well, since I sold the 98, we won't be able to go to car shows together like that. Oh well, just can't please women, lol.
...what is the girlfriend giving up to help contribute???
That's not nice. I agree, but that is still not nice.
Honestly, I like the blue color more, but everything done to the red one is nicely done for my taste.
To each their own, PO; enjoy whatcha got!
That's a very diplomatic way of putting it. I'm not usually so nice, so I will just have to say that I agree with you.
Did you do all the mods to both Corvettes? All those trophies are a tribute to your patience for both the tedium of sitting around all day at the car show, and all the prep work getting the car ready. Bling gets the trophies, but I still like the cleaner, high performance look on any Corvette.
Both are very cool and well done. I like the blue one better myself so in my book you made the right choice. I swear that blue is a clone of one that I use to see down here in Arizona at some shows. I asked you if you bought it from here but you set me straight on that question already. I'll look for some pictures of his and let you see. Congrats on the sale and for still having another one to play with. The pictures of his are on my other computer so I'll need to look for them when I wake up later.

The red one and the blue one are so diametrically opposite, it's hard to believe they belonged to the same owner.

Everything on the blue 02 I did but did very little to the red 98. The only big mod I did to the red 98 was a new stereo, Pioneer HU, JL Audio amp, Infinity speakers, and a MTX subwoofer. The motor etc was done by the previous owner.
Here are some more pics of the blue 02. I have blue neon tube behind the "Corvette" along with two other tubes (hidden) of neon in the hatch.
Next to the 98 at a car show. I have hundreds of blue LEDs thoughout the car. This picture shows under the hood where I have LED strips on the sides, under the plenum cover, in the front, and two strips on the hood (it was a bitch to run the wires IN the hood). I also replace every white bulb inside the car with blue LEDs. Many LED strips under the dash and seats too. The under hood lights and interior strips can be controlled by remote, even flash with the music if I so choose to or about a dozen different patterns. Cost was cheap but it took me forever to do.
I know allot of you think a Corvette should be kept "stock" but I believe you should do what you want to your vehicles. I sometimes find myself just sitting in the Vette listening to music. With Infinity Perfect series speakers in the kick panels and doors it sounds REALLY great. And if I want to, rattle all the glass in the neighborhood, lol.
But my neighbors hated the red 98 more. With the 383 motor, 1 7/8" headers, aggressive cam, NO cats, and a Corsa Racing Exhaust it was LOUD. I would do my best to never go much above idle till I got away from my neighbors. The 98 won "Best Pipes" at an all Corvette show for sounding the best. Damn, I already miss her.

dude... seriously... I'm married with 2 kids and I already learned that you should not have done that. You can always build another red one exactly the same in the future... that's always an option.
no way, haha. ive had a pic of that red car stored for like 2 years. i JUST painted my car this last weekend, and im waiting on it to dry before i go back and add the black detailing like you have. you may not have the car anymore, but your inspiration lives on!
