Mn6 dexIII comparability.
So what is it about synthetic dex III that is harmful to the early c5 manual transmission. From what I read in my research no one really has a solid reason on what dexIII has that the other fluids don't or what the other fluids have that cause the problems. I just don't understand why a fluid will hurt a transmission just because it is synthetic. Most fluids if you read the bottle say that they are backwards compatible but there are people saying that dexVI will ruin a early trans. Then on top of the fluid confusion non synthetic dexIII is increasingly hard to find as most companies are making dexVI and saying it is reverse compatible. I guess I could buy gm fluid that they still sell but the verdict is still out on it as well some say it is great and others say it leaves much to be desired.
