Anyone ever been? My youngest daughter talked me into going to see the USS Midway this last Monday. Had a great time on that ship and learned a lot about it. Then after that she suprised me by taking me to the Corvette Diner. Can't remember exactly where it was but I thought it was a pretty cool place to have lunch. She had to have one of her special brewery beers while we were there so we stopped at the Stone Brewery so she could have one. Then it was back to the airport to come back home. Had a blast for a day. Just wondering if anyone else here has eaten there?
First time on this ship. Been on the USS Lexington a few times in Texas. This one is definitely bigger.
Was in San Diego a couple of years ago - nice place, great weather. Got to go out on a nuclear sub for the day and that was an adventure of a lifetime ! Ate lunch @ 650 ft down. USS Midway is a great tour also, as is the Lexington in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Didn't see the Corvette Diner or would have checked it out.

I've been to the Corvette Diner in San Diego a number of times - always a great experience. I did a lot of two week reserve trainings in San Diego so the Diner was a must stop each time.
That place popped up on my Yelp when we were over there last year. Unfortunately we ended up at a seafood/beer joint. Next time I'll give it a go...looks cool. Thanks for the heads-up.
<< Avatar pic of my ZR-1 in front of USS Midway. Cool ship. Been to Corvette Diner multiple times. Cool place and food is pretty good. Took pics in front of Corvette Diner too.
Never been there, looks like a great place to eat. Love the '58 Vette. What an awesome trip to take with your daughter.
Are we sure this is a '58? Don't believe '58 had a turquoise. '59 &'60 did. Can't see the washboard hood or trunk lid chrome strips either. But I have been known to be wrong from time to time (so says my wife).
I guess I should have asked what year it was. I just assumed it was a '58. I don't know much about the C1's. Thanks for the comments y'all. It was a great day.
Looks like a cool diner to check out... kinda like Quaker, Steak & Lube (which are located mainly in the midwest and eastern USA) . Thanks for sharing!
