Default C5 Battery Charging

I've recently purchased a 2003 anniversary edition vert to join my C6Z. I was wondering if I can use my ctek corvette battery charger I bought for the Z on the C5. If so, can you charge in the center console cigarette lighter?

Don't see why you couldn't use the Ctek charger on the C5. I've never tried charging the battery through the cigarette lighter though.

I have a CTEK charger is use the cigarette lighter exclusively. Is very convenient and works great!

Same here. I have been using the socket under the middle console for the last 4 years with my ctek 7200.

Sure you can. The cigarette lighter is an easy way to REMEMBER to disconnect it before driving off

Same here, Battery Tender through the cigarette lighter. And you never forget to disconnect it!

I have used this exact same setup for the last year with no problems and I have it plugged into my cigarette lighter also.

If you drive it you will not need to put it on a charger..

If you have a decent battery your C5 can sit for a month or so without a problem. If you run a crappy battery, not so much.
