I'm in the middle of several different projects on my 2003 Z06.
LS7 install
Dry sump tank install
Battery relocation
Clutch master cylinder
If any of you has ever replaced the master cylinder then you know that the 3 nuts holding the clutch pedal bracket are not easy to put back on, at least 2 of them. Unless you have small alien hands with really long fingers.
I came up with this idea last night. Its a modified peg board peg, fender washer and dental floss. I wound the floss around the nut, so I pull the floss and on goes the nut. I have not tried it yet but I'm almost certain its gonna work great.

Cool idea. Let us know if it works.
I had to remove my driver's seat so I could lay flat on my back. Then go into a zen state as I put the last nut on. I'll be happy to never repeat that task.
Good luck!

Looks good.
I've had decent luck with vacuum/heater hose silghtly smaller ID than the nut. Push the nut in the end and fish it to
the bolt. Stiffer hose usually works the best.
This works really well with hard to get to spark plugs.

hey, sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do to get it done
... I use a long box end ratcheting wrench, put the nut in the wrench, and use a piece of masking tape on the other side to hold the nut in place and keep it from falling out... once you get it on the stud it won't fall out and the ratchet mechanism makes it easy to get started

KY makes a warming lube that you might want to try and see if it helps.
Whatever you do, don't post pics.

Yea, my seat is also out. I couldn't do it with the seat in there. Somebody would have to forklift me out.Originally Posted by 3sACROWD

My tool worked good. I put a little RTV on the washer cause it fell off twice on the first nut. I put just a lil tiny bit on the nut cause it fell off too, but if you wind the dental floss nice and tite it will spin the nut on all the way and then you will have to use a small flat blade screw driver to pry the excess floss from the nut. I'm happy and having a cold beer!! I just need to bleed it tomorrow, then I can start the dry sump tank project. The 3 gallon ARE tank I bought is a fat son of a gun, I'm gonna have to temporarily move my fuse box to make room for the mock up.Originally Posted by Rodbolt

I remember when I changed the power brake vacuum booster in a C4. Two extensions to equal 18". A socket with chewing gum inside to hold the nut and a ratchet. What ever works.
