Default ABSFixer

Just installed my repaired ABS module after a repair was performed by ABSFixer. Works well. No more warning traction control warning lights. Most difficult part of the job was removing and reinstalling the 6 small torx screws that hold the unit in place. Need a strong back bending over to replace them.

Congrats on getting the car repaired. Much cheaper than buying new parts.

Now to send my climate control unit to ABSFixer to repair the dim LED's and resistors.

I've used Dave's Corvette Illiuminations on eBay to repair my Dual Zone
HVAC controller and he did an outstanding job. Priced fair, quick turnaround and quality work. He converted mine to LEDs for an additional fee. Give him a try. I think you'll be happy with the results.

Thanks Mickeyrx70. Do you remember what Dave charged?

FWIW, I couldn't solder my way out of a paper bag, and I did the repair myself no problem. My solder joints are huge, ugly, and globby, but they work!

ABSFixer repaired mine also, a few years ago. No issues since.

I took out, and re-installed 4 of the 6 torx screws from below the car. Easier access, (and easier on the back) if you can get your C5 up on jack stands.

He charges $115 for the repair/LED upgrade or $55 for just repairing the dim display. Includes return shipping. If you opt for the LED upgrade, you can choose from many color choices or leave it stock color. His phone is listed on his site, so you can speak directly to him with any questions. Turnaround is 1 day. He's really good.

I also used Dave's. I didn't upgrade to LEDs, but he did a good job on the repair, very fast turn around.

Nice on getting it repaired. I would have used ABSfixer as well if my solder repair didn't work. Luckily I haven't had a problem with me HVAC unit... knocks on wood...

I used Dave too. The display on my 98's (Torch Red) was dim so I sent it in for the fix and a blue LED upgrade. When I got it back (quickly) I put it in my 02 (Electron Blue) and then took the 02's and put it in the 98's. That was like 5 years ago and the repair/upgrades are still working.
Thanks for the update on ABSfixer, I too need to send mine in and it's good to hear yours works.
