Keyless Entry Remote?
I ordered a new #2 remote for my 02 Z off ebay and I received a #1 remote. The seller said there is no difference between #1 and #2 and that two #1 remotes can be programmed for the same vehicle. Is this correct or do I need a #2 to work with my existing #1? He's offering to send me a #2 backing plate to put on the #1? Thanks guys.

NO difference in the two remotes except for the #2 on the back of the case to help humans keep track of which remote is which.
The remotes transmit an identification and the electronics in the car are able to keep track of which remote is which so that seats, mirrors and other things can be set uniquely if the car has the memory option.
