Finally got it together and had decent track conditions today at Mason Dixon. Two runs, the best was 11.712 at 119.37 mph. The 60 foot was 1.895; the clutch is a little soft so there's room for improvement.
Congratulations! I know you have waited a while to make that break through.
The weather was not as good as we had expected and the track was much more crowded than we thought it would be, too.
Dick, John, and I hung around for eliminations. Dick redlighted in the first round, John broke out in the second round and I redlighted in the third round. Still had a lot of fun.
I know you car will produce better times as the weather gets better. Now that you are in the 11's, what is your next goal?
JerryL, Excellent run. We are running at MIR this coming Sunday....Come on dowwwnnnnn. It's IHRA. OK to 11.5 without a rollbar. Your new goal can be getting thrown off MIR.... :yesnod:
Great run, now how do you guys get away without roll bars!
Elightened track management. :D
They called the event "run what you brung." We did.
I was the third car down the track after they opened and ran an 11.91. No one said anything. 2d pass 11.97. Again not a word. So I adapted. In brackets, I ran an 11.87, breaking out of a 12.0 dial, and throwing myself out. I coulda lifted and won the heat but I wanted a fast run instead. The time sheet girl looked at the slip and said, "Nice run. See ya next week." I like that track.
