Targa top adjustments
The driver side latch on my targa top has been coming loose. I've been able to find good instructions on how to adjust the components of the top but I'm a little confused by which adjustment I should make. should I be adjusting the striker (behind windshield trim panel) or the latches on the roof itself?

My advice is try one set of adjustments and see if that works and if not, you can still try the other. I know, Captain Obvious here.

Since the latching motion of the targa is the moving part that's likely what would need to be looked at first. Indeed, Captain Obvious #2 here saying you'll want to adjust one thing at a time.

Just wanted to update this in case anyone has the same issue. Finally had a chance to work on it and adjusting the striker above the windsheld seems to have solved the issue. Its pretty strait forward to adjust, just loosened the bolts and pushed the striker down a little.
Unfortunately when I went out for a celebratory drive the gas gauge died with 3/4 tank so it looks like Ill have something else to work on.

Congrats on getting it fixed.
Try using a fuel system cleaner with techron in it. I will take a couple to 4 tanks to clear up. It may not fix the gauge, but most likely will. I'd try it before replacing the sensor in the tank. Also I think Shell and Exon have techron added to their gas.

How did you get the trim out of the way to access those bolts without ruining the trim? I did the rear adjustment, no problem but found those front bolts impossible to access.

i used a plastic pry bar and was able to move the panel enough to get an open ended wrench on it.
