Just got back from a trip to the NCM. First trip since 2005. Always fun
to visit. It was really interesting to see the display of the sink hole cars
and the exhibit of the disaster. Here are some pics from the Museum
that I took. Always a great trip to take.

The NCM is a great place to visit. There is an incredible amount of Corvette history for your viewing pleasure. I hope to get back there sometime this year.
Thanks for the pics - its come a long way since I drove by on my way north years ago - they had 5 cars in a temp building - I bought a huggie and pressed on....
Glad everyone has enjoyed the pictures I posted. The destruction that was done to the cars that fell into the sinkhole was really shocking to see.
Hopefully, everyone will get a chance to visit the NCM someday.
The museum is truly world class and the factory tour is very cool to see.
I always wanted to go but I wouldn't make the 16 hour round trip until I owned one so...... we were there on May 26th!
The sinkhole display was really something. One thing that caught my wife's eye in the room just before the room where they put you in the virtual sinkhole was one fact- value of the publicity from the sinkhole-- $22MILLION!!! Talk about making lemonade out of lemons!
..and yes I bought the stupid $10 jar of dirt... my wife bought everything else in the museum store so why the heck not....
Thanks for sharing. Been there three times myself and it is always a nice time. Still never got the chance to do the assembly plant tour. Guess I need to go back

You should definitely go back to see the assembly tour. Always check
the dates you are planning to go though. It is a very cool experience to see how the cars come together during the process.

My first time down was summer of '95 for a HS graduation gift with my folks. We did the museum on a Saturday and headed back to Chicago the next day.
The next two times were in the last 4 years as a quick stop on our way to or back from Florida and Alabama.
The next trip I'll have to make Bowling Green the destination and check schedules for the plant. Maybe it can be just th wife and I in our Vette.

Do it quick, the plant tours will quit June 16th for about 18 months.
I have done both. Well worth it for any corvette enthusiast. I can't wait til the tours restart after the major assembly line upgrade and the rest of the plant expansion.
