Loudest exhaust setup on Corvette?
I'm posting this so you guys that are interested in going loud have a better idea of what loud is. This is pretty much the loudest setup for the C5Z that you can do. It's 1 7/8 Longtubes, off-road X-pipe, Borla straight pipes with a big cam. I'm posting this to be informative for those looking for different exhaust sounds. It's not for everyone, mind you... it is LOUD. Surprisingly, there's less drone inside the car now than what I had with the Borla Stingers. At WOT, this thing is deafening to those next to and behind you. Now, on to the videos!

I had 1 7/8 LG long tubes with a catless X pipe and Borla quad stingers with an MS 4 cam . I'm a turbo guy so I absolutely couldn't stand it. It did make 420 to the tire and was fun to drive but it only lasted a season.

It's not a daily driver so I'm not concerned with loud. I had Stingers before and they just weren't aggressive enough. The drone is actually less now with straights than with Stingers.

Sounds nasty. I love loud. I do prefer the quad tip look though. Just ordered B&B Bullets for mine.

Too loud for me, but others will know when you drive the car.

I have the same setup on my C5 LS-3 swap, smaller Cam though. Mine is a daily driver, I love it! the neighbors actually like it as well! I get people recording it with their phones all the time...lol

Anyone with straights, DEFINITELY get long tube headers and x pipe. It made cruising tone, idle tone, and WOT much better. Its easily DD'able now, its still my part time DD though for 3 years it was my only car with that setup.

I dont get why people think loud sounds the best. Just because its loud doesn't mean it has a good tone. Its not to loud for me but the tone of it sounds like ****.

I had good tone for a long time. It was time for something aggressive and just angry sounding. Mission accomplished. Like I said, it's not for everybody.

I think Billy Boat Bullets are supposed to be the loudest most aggressive axle back available.
I just saw a white FRC on the freeway with a 432 LS2 license plate. It sounded bad ***. When he got on the throttle, I could hear it from 2 blocks away.

I believe the Borla straights are a bit louder than the bullets and I had pretty bad drone out of my Stingers. Hated the cutouts/open header sound.

If you hate the drone or think its fine at what you have I recommend not ripping out the carpet in the trunk lol Mine is now like that and I hear everything back there.
