Made mine a little different. Made several different inserts to get different tones. Kinda' cool to hear the differences, some big some small some have different size holes drilled in them.

What type of exhaust is that? Was that not loud enough?
Or the cheap ebay copy? If it is borla then why the bypass as everyone swears that the borla is heaven? The bypass can be done with stock a lot cheaper
Just unbolt the axleback portion and remove it. Let your inner red neck out!!
Will this melt anything important? I know the joint from the midpipe points away from the tranny, just wondering if you noticed any issues besides that gnarly carbon monoxide smell.

There have been reported instances of individuals melting the leaf spring. OEM it’s a composite construction. It’s adviseable if you remove the mufflers you still run an over axle with straight tails out back.
My suggestion would be to buy a small 6 inch muffler (2)
from Magnaflow . They will attach just behind your X-pipe.
Run a straight pipe from the muffler to the rear.
These days there are race tracks that require a muffler because of local sound laws. You are legal and still loud.
Good luck.
