C5 Vert Trunk will not close

Default C5 Vert Trunk will not close
C5 convertible trunk will not close unless I repeatedly slam it. Trunk pops open just fine. Tried adjusting latch. No dice, same. Any suggestions?

If you have a trunk popper that seems to make it harder.

Have you tried greasing the moving parts on the latch?

No...for me I just think the popper is holding it back as you close it....a door open helps.

WD 40 it. Also there is a metal loop on lid that is adjustable, make sure its is secure. Look to make sure all parts in latch hardware is in place including a spring to lock. If all else fails a good body shop will probably fix for nominal fee. Beats duct taping lid closed.
