I need a washer between battery terminal and cable?
What is the best metal to use--im thinking copper washer?

Copper would at least conduct the electricity as well as the wire so yeah if you need a washer use copper.

Thx a ton--copper it will be--i think the metal in the rubber case on the cable -looks like copper?

A lead, copper or brass washer would work just fine.

Believe it or not silver, copper, gold, aluminum. best conductors in that order.
