Default Small introduction of me and my 2002 Z51

Hey all, my name is Bill and I am on Vette #7. Technically I guess its Vette #6 since I used to own it. Previous owner called me up with a deal I couldnt say no to and since I loved it more than all my other Vettes I just had to have it.
Its a loaded up black on black 6 speed with the Z51 suspension thats had tweeks. Been lowered a tad, bit better Bilstien shocks and a C6 Z06 rear sway bar. I swapped the shifter to a C6 Z06 shifter and bought the custom boot. Car has also been to LME for one of their 500hp packages with the ported TB, LS6 plenum, Edelbroc LS6 heads ported an polished with larger valves, LME cam, 1 7/8 long tubes and a full 2.75" exhaust system.
Most of that will be yanked soon for an RPM stange VI trans, stage 4 rear end, brace, iron block 416 and a YSI with flip drive and meth injection as well as corn conversion. I am currently awaiting some custom wheels since one of my iForged wheels has a small crack in it so I will be selling those dirt cheap soon with brand new Invo tires.
I have had the car ceramic coated and the windows ceramic tinted. Also have done a full sound system. Just did new Baer rotors and EBC pads.
Doing the new wheels in gunmetal with 18x9 up front and 18x10.5 out back and a matching pair of 17x10 out back for drag radials.

Congrats on getting your beautiful Black C5 back. Gunmetal rims will look great.

I know how you feel, my Black '99 is my favorite Corvette out of all of the Corvettes that I have previously owned as well.

Nice car. I've never heard of ceramic coating an entire car; could you elaborate on the process?

Congratulations on getting your car back! I know opinions vary but I love black on a C5. Classy looking but evil looking at the same time. Its just a PIA to keep looking sharp, but well worth the effort ('99 back vert with black top).

Congrats on getting your Corvette back. I have an '02 Z51 also and I really like it, although it's nowhere near the mod level of yours. Those new wheels will look great!

Well they wash and then clay the car then buff it so all swirls are gone. After that they put a fine ceramic coating on the windows and paint. Keeps finger prints off, rain just slips off it, bird poo dont stick and it gives a little rock protection. Had it done on the AMG and the Denali too and its worth every penny. Car gets dusty and all you have to do is go for a drive. You can even just wipe it down with a micro fiber cloth and t wont scratch it. Great stuff.
The ceranic tint is because its Texas and that tint really keeps the heat out.

So as the build progresses the only things I am selling is the iForged wheels with new TPMS sensors with adapters and bran spanking new Invo tires for $1500. Onr fromt wheel has a small crack in one of the spokes but hats it.
I will also be selling the fresh short block that was done at Lingenfelter with new bearings, pistons, rings and the LME cam (dont have specs) for $1000. Everything else I am keeping.
Well may sell the exhaust as the long tubes are only 1 7/8 and may need 2" and the full exhaust as its only 2.5" and we need 3" but thats about it.

Congrats on getting her back!

Your CAI, that appears to be similar to the cheaper eBay setups I've been looking at. Any feedback on fit and quality? Thanks and good luck with the "new" car!

I is the cheap eBay one. It had a crappy little spectra filter. I didnt get a whole system because I knew I would soon switch to a blower.

Good to hear and actually see one installed. Kind of hard to pass it up for the price and actually looks pretty good as well. Thanks for the info!

You have any more pictures of inside the hatch with what appears to be where your amp is mounted? Appears you have a pair of speakers on each side of it too?

Those are the x-overs. All speakers are in oem locations. The Arc XDi amp and crossovers are on the rear wall. The CDT sub is in a removable box in the center storage with a custom cover that has lights to light up the "CORVETTE" lettering.
