Body Side molding

I think I'm one of not too many on the fence. My car came with them, that's OK with me. If it didn't... also OK. I wouldn't remove or add.

Both of mine had the molding option. I disliked them enough on the red one that I removed them, I actually like the look on yellow..and most every color Z06. plus I'm afraid it'd probably show ghost marks.

The BSM was a factory option. Fact.
They are positioned at the level where most modern car doors will hit them.
Read the article again and you will find out what wasn't measured. All the effects of laminar flow. Assumptions were made based on other tests and common sense. Not fake news.
It's obvious you hate BSMs, but that does not mean everyone does. Half the people do like them.

Holy cow I did not expect a whole debate on love or hate the BSM, I just wanted to know if I could get them off easily.
Fast forward. Outside this AM detailing the car and my wife came by and I told her I was about to take off the BSM. I was going to start slow with the front fender piece to make sure it would be easy and there would be no fading and paint issues. What was her response? I like the BSM, I don't think you should remove them. So not only do we have posting that is divided, I have a house that is divided. Well needless to say the car still has the BSM and they will probably now stay. Thanks for the info everyone.

How do cars in this price point, and much higher (like, hmmm, even Bugatti's) survive WITHOUT BSM's? What are these rich bastards thinking???????
Removed the BSM's, mod number two, first week I had the car.

It is like a good looking girl with short hair . Yes she's pretty but she will always look even better with long hair . You gotta get rid of those hideous moldings . Theyreally date the car and make it look like a Pontiac grand am from the 90's . Modern sport cars don't have all that junk hanging off them .
