I'm curious what it cost to install the 4.10s ? I have thought about installing 4.10's, I can't even use 6th gear on the highway with my stock gears. I have a Breathless Vortex Ram Air Induction system along with a Magnaflow cat back system. At 70 mph in 6th gear I'm turning 1400 RPM's which almost makes it feel like it's bogging. I only use 5th on the highway in 70 mph speed zones.

can I presume the 80 mph at 2100 rpm is in 6th ???

It's great that your MPG is still very good and once you get through the break in process, those rear gears should make a heck of a difference in your car's performance.

My best friend picked it up and is driving it to AZ for me right now. I will have it tomorrow morning. The break in procedure is completed now, but he is like me, very careful in another mans car. So he hasn't been hooning around in it. I told him to try it out and let me know how it feels but I doubt he will. But tomorrow I will let you all know how it feels.

Nice numbers. Looks like he's writing computer code with your odometer. Hope it likes the AZ heat when he gets here with it.

I did a whole new carrier and all new internals. Had the rear end built to order, rated at 1000 horsepower. The rear end itself cost me $1700 + shipping. Also did a McLeod Dual friction clutch and McLeod flywheel, new slave and remote bleeder at the same time. Lower temp thermostat, new harmonic balancer and a couple other little things. All said and done with labor was right at $5300. I wish I had ordered a new oil pan installed at the same time as it is dripping a bit from the front. Looks like the harmonic balancer took out the gasket or a tiny hole when it cut loose and shifted back.

Something is wrong then with the low temp thermostat. Your pic showed you at 2100 and 80 mph and your water temp was almost 220 on the highway. I live in southern Florida and have a low temp thermostat and on the highway at 80mph my water temp is 180. This is also in the middle of summer where its 90+. Do you still have the middle spoiler under the front bumper?

True, the actual DIC number is close. All the pictures show a fluctuation in temp but the consensus is it is around 200 if you average it. In my opinion high unless its a 180 thermo instead of stock 190. 160 would have him at 180. I am going to install an aftermarket gauge on the motor itself; of course the heads are going to be hot lol. I usually keep my eyes on oil temp more then water; its a true indication of how hot your motor is.

Turned off TC and laid into it yet?
Lugging the motor isnt good for an engine less rpm isnt always better
My DD gets the same mileage in D up til about 60ish or so as it did with the OD on.
Enjoy!
Op whats your opinon of Florence/Cactus Junction, going out there next week to look at homes. pm if you like
