a good thing--complaince parts lmc5 suggests is good-- but not etched in ink--Richard says you will be able to see any messages before starting--i hop in and start car--never had a problem--thoughts?

I think he's saying "is it really a good thing to wait for the gauges to sweep fully before you start the car"
my response is yes, it is. You can see any messages plus it gives the fuel pump time to properly prime the system.

I turn the key to on and wait for the gauges to sweep fully before starting engine.

The one time I got in and started right up I got the serviceABS/Traction whatever warning. Reset it and now I put the key in, wait for the messages to stop and then start. Maybe I need to do the brown wire mod. But I don't mind waiting 2 seconds to start the car.

Happened well before my lmc5, after my original lmc5 without a brown wire, and once with my new lmc5 with brown wire mod.
I rarely forget to let it sit for a couple seconds, but every single abs warning has come when I forget.
