OK I have a real nice indoor cover but it seems like that it puts more dust on my vert black top than it would keep off. Just asking if anyone has cleaned one and if so how? Thanks for the expert advice!!

If the cover has a tag attached, it may say how to clean it. Otherwise, go to the manufacturer's web site and there should be instructions there.
I have always taken mine to a commercial laundry mat and washed it there, then let it air dry.
