Default Wtb new motor

Ok so my 03z ls6 has a dead hole on #7 local shops say 4 to 5k to build, but no warranty. I really want to get a warranty with my motor. I have been looking around and it seems all the dealerships can sell crate motors with 2 year warrantys but they are around 7k+. I was hoping to spend less than that as I want to do the clutch and torque tube as well. Does anyone know of any good shops in WA. State that can Build a good motor with a warranty. Or a on line place I can order from? Where does everyone get their motors from. Ls6, ls3, or ls7 not to picky just a tight budget. And yes I do know about the reluctor wheels 24&58 tooth, and the linginfelter converter. I just want her to run again I miss driving her.

If you're on a tight budget I would look for a lower mile ls6 short block or long block for sale. I would search the c5 f/s section here and check on eBay. Otherwise I'd look at used ls3's, there should be plenty available used these days since they were also used in the Camaro for 5 years plus the c6. ls2's are a good motor as well, they can probably be had at a better price than the ls3 too. I wouldn't put ls7 and 'budget' in the same sentence lol...

Same as above. If my LS6 went in the pooper, I'd look for a used low mile motor. Preferably one where the owner is upgrading so I could witness the motor is good.

I have a forged LS6 for sale...but I am in FL ...motor has less than 5K on it, was built to go with my Maggie MP112 which is also for sale just started parting the car a few weeks ago

will eventually get it all posted up for sale...not sure if shipping that far is even feasible

and of course no warranty which is something you are looking for

I did purchase a ls3 from ebay said it had 30k on it and it was out of a corvette. When I received it I noticed some rust on the exhaust valves so I then checked the intake valves and found the same thing. when I removed the heads I found rust in 3 of the cylinders. I was able to return it but lost about $200, so om a little apprehensive about purchasing used.
