I could not agree more on the Borla S type, put a nice barely used set off ebay on the wife's C6 a month or two back and the sound it makes when you fire it up is amazing yet subtle when at speed and yes sounds awesome when on the loud pedal.
can you do a vid on this? I got some cheap china made Ebay crap that I am not very happy with the sound, I dont have headers nor will i be getting them.

Congrats. I have a 140017. It's the 2 tip version of your exhaust. I love the way it sounds. Big improvement from cutouts. It will get louder after it breaks in. At first, I thought it sounded good, but after a couple days, it really starts sounding awesome.
If by drone, you mean inside car noise? It is not bad at all and you can hear the radio and have decent conversations with passengers just as before with the stock exhaust.
My car is an automatic, if you keep it in second and run it up to 3 grand and let of, it just purrr's
On startup is sound just like the SS 455+ horsepower Camero I rented while in FLA this past winter. People turned heads when I started it up and the valets fought over who would park it when I came back to the resort
I got the dual tips used for a good price. Only wish I could get the quad tips for the same price. Love the sound. My friends have called my car the "Brub Tub" since I got them.
I have the dual tips, but the S-Type mufflers.
No drone, you can hear it, but at highway speeds, there is a slight hint of an exhaust, but you'll hear the wind and tire noise way more.
Droning is more than just hearing the exhaust noise inside the car. It's like a resonance. Droning doesn't sound good. My exhaust cutouts always droned, at virtually every rpm. Stingers with an x-pipe don't drone.

Yeah...and if an exhaust is going to drone, many report that it usually occurs when cruising (and staying) right around 1500 RPM. It's a deep humming-type resonant tone inside the car.

I have the same setup on my C5. I never listen to my radio!

I was there the day it was put on. Good luck with it.

Exactly right around 14 - 1700 rpms probably just with the 6 speed manual in 6th gear. You would know if if you have it - it resonates and will drive you mad. I always had to shift into 5th to get around mine on my previous OLDER Borla setup.

I put the S-type on my car when I got the SLP long tubes. I'm glad I got the catted version, this would be way too loud otherwise. It sounds like a race car now!
