Default Intermittent starting issue

My 99 is having an intermittent starting issue . Recently it would start then stop. Then two days ago I heard a buzz from the panel under the passenger side floorboard . Today it started, stumbled , then shut off . After each of these non-starts I would turn off the key and crank it again. It would start /run just fine. It runs fine otherwise .

For a 18 year old with 190k on it, I'm not surprised that an issue would crop up. I just don't have an idea what the root of the problem is.

Anyone experience that?

Sounds like the check valve on your fuel pump.

I pulled the codes. I guess it's been a long time . The list is long enough to choke a horse .

Only one code had a C behind it and that's for the tire pressure monitor . So, which group of codes could have an impact on the starting issue?

I Cleaned the battery connection but they looked fine and I still have the same issue. The engine cranks without starting. Or it starts and immediately shuts off . On occasion it starts then quits when you travel a short distance . (I think that's a security-related issue)

I'm sure I can fix it, but don't know what to fix.

Ok, I cleared the codes and waited for the starting issue to happen again. I pulled the codes and here is what I got.
• DTC B0516 Speedometer Signal Circuit Malfunction
• DTC B0856 +5 Volt Reference Out of Range
• DTC B2263 Horizontal Position Sensor Circuit
• DTC B2265 Vertical Position Sensor Circuit
• DTC B2282 Battery #1 Circuit
• DTC B2283 Battery #1 Circuit
• DTC B2284 Battery #2 Circuit
• DTC B2285 Battery #2 Circuit
Plus two on the turn signal and two on the tire sensor.

I noticed a relay clicking off and on in the BCM (silver box on pass floor) I haven't disconnected the connections yet.

I cleaned the grounds on the front frame rails. (did't look bad)

Any advice?

I just picked up my 60 Wagon from the shop, I was telling the mechanic about the Vette problem and he said it sounded like the ignition key tumbler inside the steering column...any thoughts on that?

This is what I was going to suggest, had similar issue's a month back and Bill Curlee's ignition switch clean up cured my deal, congrats!
