So I've noticed that on my 02 z06, sometimes during WOT right after shifting from 1st to 2nd gear, the car bogs for a split second after getting the rear tires to hop a little. It almost feels like traction control is kicking in but I have it disabled. As a matter of fact I thought it was traction control at first so I went from competition mode to completely disabling it thinking that will solve the power cut issue, which it obviously didn't. After the bog the power cuts right back in. This doesn't happen all the time, I think maybe the tires have to cut loose a certain way for it to happen or maybe depending on how hard I shift it, it'll do it. I don't have any other issues with bogging either. It only happens sometimes after shifting to 2nd during WOT. Anyone else have this problem or know what's going on??

Is you Z completely stock or have you made any modifications? How many miles on the engine, if stock have you replaced the air filter, have you modified your TB, have you cleaned your MAF? In order to get an answer you need to supply more information otherwise you end up chasing "what if's" and not finding a solution.

Car is completely stock other than a cat-back exhaust. Only 27k miles on engine. I haven't even looked at the air filter to be honest, not sure if any of the previous owners had it replaced but as I said the bog only happens right after hard shifting into second going wot, don't notice it anywhere else. And it doesn't happen all the time. I personally never modified the TB and am pretty sure no one else has considering the car only has a cat-back. I never cleaned the MAF.

No check engine light, I haven't looked and checked to see if there are any stored codes recently. Last summer it would throw the traction control/active handling issue on the display every so often but I haven't seen it back at all this season.

I have the following codes stored:
A0-LDCM: U1064 H
A1-RDCM: U1064 H
As you can see they're all history codes. I reset them to see if they'll come back. Also worth noting my battery recently died and needed to be replaced. Will these codes have anything to do with the problem I am experiencing?
One other thing I'd like to add, not that it'll help me receive any feedback but I'll remain hopeful. The 2 history codes I erased haven't come back yet so I'm thinking they were from when my battery died. I do however get a service ABS and traction control/active handling light that will randomly pop up when I'm driving but will go away after turning the car off and back on. I only got it a couple times last year and this weekend was the first time it came back up again this year but goes away after re-starting the vehicle. The code it gives me is C1214 H in the TCS. After doing some research it looks like it has to do with a faulty EBCM or loose connection somewhere considering the issue is very intermittent and it rarely happens. So my next questions is, can the the slight hesistation issue I sometimes get right after hard shifting into 2nd during WOT have to do with the C1214 code I get? It'll happen even when I don't have the service ABS TCS/Active handling lights on the dash pop up.

I think your tires are spinning alittle on the top of first gear--when you hit second gear, tires grab which would cause a slight bog--try 3/4 throttle in first gear to 6300 and hit second wide open--see what happens-Ill bet its just tire spin top of first gear-

The thought did run through my head that maybe it has something to do with tire traction. So you're saying get the car close to the redline without the gas floored, shift into 2nd and then floor it?

1st gear go 3/4 throttle to 6300 -- this way you know the tires are not spinning-slam into second with full throttle--see if any bog-
