Opinions of Corvette Racing stripes
Hello,
I am going to take the Vette in for racing stripes. I wanted to get opinions on doing the roof. I have both the painted and glass top. If I did the roof and switched to the glass top then only the small section on the T-Bar would have stripes.
What do you guys think looks better. The roof with or without stripes on the roof?
Thank you.......

If you look at the http://www.vettestripes.com/ web site there are some C5 & C6's that have the full stripes with both the painted & glass tops pictured.

If you are going to have full length stripes which includes the halo, I would go ahead and do the targa tops also.

Stripes!
Some folks like 'em. Starsky and Hutch has nice stripes on their Torino way back when. They were cool. I'm not cool enough to but stripes on my vert. But then again if you like 'em why not go all out and do the roof too?

Been on this forum for a while now and this certainly is one of the top controversies subjects. IMHO the right combo of colors and style can work. I have deleted doing stripes myself but given I have a vert with NBM and oak interior and top I cannot conceive a good color for the stripes.
I say go for it it's your car. Consider vinyl so you can easily remove if you don't like.

Go all the way, or don't do it at all.
How often do you really use the glass top? You may want to skip the glass one, not sure the vinyl will stick as well. I could be wrong, but I feel I've seen on here before something about the off-gassing of that top and causing issues?

These are painted so not sure I would try that with the glass top.

I like Corvette Stripes; not all of them, but a lot of them.
Heck, you can even make an otherwise ugly Mustang look good if you put the right Corvette Stripes on it.

Yea...and BSM haters too
Stripes can look good on any car...I had them on my 1967 Corvair 140 hp 4 1 barrels 4 speed vert...It was a cool looking vehicle...here is a pic of a similar Vehicle but hard top...its been so long that the polaroid pics I had completely turned white...
Heres another similar vehicle I had in 1970 with side & trunk stripes from the dealership...
Noone ever made fun of Don Yenko's Novas with stripes...
To answer the OPs question, I think stripes should go from rear to front to look good .02 registered
