Default Seat foam Question.....

I have an 02 Z06 and the driver seat foam makes the seat cover look loose. It only has 10K miles and the seat cover is PERFECT otherwise... Is it possible to just replace the seat foam???? And when finished, have a job that did not look like it was repaired?

TIA... Pete

I had all of the seat foam replaced on both my 2000 sport seats. Turned out great. I did notice less headroom.

Absolutely. Did mine myself when I upgraded to new seat covers, but I could have reinstalled the original seat covers if I had wanted to. Steam is your friend.

I replaced the foam in my seats because they were showing their age, but the stock seat covers were great shape. I was amazed to see how the bottom seat foam is supported by thin wire that cut into the foam. There are lots of different ways to prevent this from happening again so on my bottom seat foam, I cut a heavy duty carpet square to fit and put the foam over that to prevent the foam from being cut again. I used wire ties to put fasten the cover back on. You can do it yourself, it's not tough.

I also did mine took about 45min to an hour per seat. Zip tie most of the cut hog rings as instructed to do from the cushion instructions.

Only part that is iffy is if your pull string or pull strap is dry rotted on the seat cover. Just be careful if they are.
