The turn signals on my 2000 started working intermittently. If this was a fuse issue I figure they wouldn't work at all.Is there a relay for this? Under hood or on passenger side floor? Thanks
Probably the flasher. The e-flasher and turn signals use the same flasher. You can cycle the e-flasher a few times to get it working, but eventually it will fail. I had the problem and installed the flasher bypass harness. Took 30 minutes and all is well, now.

4 torx screws to remove knee bolster, unplug trunk button and cabin temp sensor, unplug harness and plug new one in. Instructions with pictures come with bypass harness. It is a lot easier than changing flasher and signals will now work independently.
Thanks JR for posting link.
I don't have this problem but added that item to my "watch list" on eBay in case I ever do.
I currently could install it quick since I have my Vette all apart.
And you'll have the added benefit that if in the future you decide to install LEDs in your turn signals, they won't hyperflash.
Thank you. You are the one that enlightened me about the harness.. For me that was the way to go. Great product. Don't have to worry about the turn signals anymore.

Thanks! I installed the bypass harness several years ago as part of an LED turn signal upgrade to avoid the hyper flash issue. I didn't know of this of this side benefit.
Ok I bought the hyper Flash harness. In the install instructions it has you removing the Fog lamp/trunk release switch plate and the interior Air temp sensor.Do you know why these have to be removed? i haven't started this project yet. i'm trying to forsee any problems first!! thanks for any help you can give.

There are two screws behind those covers that hold the knee bolster on.
I asked that exact same question. Just go slow, don't force anything and it should all come apart just fine. Those covers pop off pretty easily.
