Default Looking for Painted C5 Z06 Wheels

So I'm loving my C5 Z06 already even though I have not gotten to drive it a whole lot yet.

One thing I think Chevy was spot on with when they designed this car was the wheel deisgn/style for the Z06. I absolutely love the style, however I am not a fan of the chrome wheels my car has on it.

Does anybody know of any repro painted silver C5 Z06 wheels available on the market, or is this something I will just have to search out on ebay for OE wheels? I've done some looking around at the repro companies I know of and didn't see anything aside from chrome, however I wasn't sure that since I am pretty new to the "vette world" if anyone had any other places I might not be aware of. I am looking to go 18x10.5 all around the car and have a square setup.

Thanks for any info!

They pop up once in a while on the FS section here. Other options are to have yours redone at a powder coating shop, or buy from House of Wheels (CF vendor).

My wheels, unfortunately, have pretty well had it. They have some curb rash and some heavy pitting and flaking of the chrome. It would cost the same to have them blasted and painted as it would replace them, and because I want 18x10.5 all around, I would rather buy new or at least in good condition used.

I do see thanks to your link that House of Wheels carries exactly what I was looking for. Wasn't familiar with them. Thank's so much!

I would try to stick with oem Speedline wheels if I were you, aftermarket z06 wheels are typically much heavier. The oem z wheels are very light in comparison to most others.

Good info...

I am sure it's going to be tough to find 4 18x10.5 OEM Speedlines in the Argent color though... Especially ones that don't need to be reconditioned. I do plan to get a set of FIKSE FM5's for track use, the Speedlines would be more or less a street set.

Not sure what color argent is but it's not too hard to find a set of oem rears in the f/s section, may be a bit harder and more money to find really nice ones.

Argent is listed as the OEM "Silver" color. I'll have to start keeping an eye out. Thanks

If you plan on picking up a different set of wheels for the track, why not just get a standard set of oem c5z wheels. Unless you must have the squared look. For the most part the squared set up is desired for track use.

Not really a fan of the look of a 17 in the front and 18 in the rear. Looks a little odd to me.

I'm with you on this. Not only would a larger wheel look better in general, the front tire having a taller sidewall than the rear just looks off to me. My next set of tires will include replacing the front wheels (or a full set wheels and tires).

I actually am looking at maybe just going with some black C6 Z06 wheels as well. I think the black on black look would be nice.

The deal is, I have to put some new tires on the car. The ones that were on it when I bought it were as thrashed as the wheels lol! I figure it's pointless to put tires on wheels that I don't intend on keeping for any length of time.

I've heard all the bs about the TCS and AHS acting up because of "square setups" and I believe that's just a load of crap and the more I search, the more I find that my belief seems to be true as well lol

Everything I've read sys that a square 18x10.5" setup does not limit the AHS, but only traction control. For you track guys this shouldn't be a problem.

You can run 18 x 10.5's all around and still stagger the tires.

You can also run 18 x 10.5" all around and still keep tires square.
