Hi,
Has anyone bought a rebuilt seat adjuster assembly from Corvette Salvage or, has there been any feedback about them? Also, does anyone know of another rebuilding service? My car is an 02 with memory seats and I have the sliding forward problem with the drivers seat when stopping. Any input on this issue would be great. I've seen the repair kits online, but I would rather have a unit that has already been repaired.
Many Thanks!
Gregg
A unit that has been repaired?? that would mean you are willing to send your whole seat to someone and have them install the washers...( spacers.. ) or Buy a New seat track . the parts required here cost under a dollar at home depot.. go to You tube to see how its done.. No one sells a Unit.. only a kit to repair what is already there. to install the kit you have to remove what is there clean the disintegrated spacers, and use the new nylon washers, spacers to fill in the void. I know you are new here, welcome to the forum..
in order to fix this , the seat has to be removed. Someone who understands this process can fix the seat, but very few people know how to do this.. Or what the root cause is.. There are alignment issues and timing issue since both worm drives on the seat need to be fixed.. removing the mono blocks and setting the timing on reinstall is necessary so the seat does not bind.. WE here know because some of us know something about this car. Go to You tube, find the tutorial for C5 rocking chair fix.. watch it a few times and decide whether or not you can do this.,,,
Good Luck

I know a few things because I have seen a few things.

I did mine last year. Just printed out the instructions and used spacers from radioflyer.
It went very well, just take your time and you should have no issues.
