I didn't like the throttle delay from the factory for emissions or whatever. A friend sent me to Horsepower Sales in Pompano Beach, Fl for a speed tune. He removed the delay and adjusted the shift points, telling me I wouldn't recognize the car and he was right.
I've had Chuck tune 3 of my cars and even though he is extremely busy he was never to busy to take a call to discuss the tune software. All three tunes were done via e-mail.

Call Chuck. He can send you a device that records information from your vehicle using the OBD2 connection.
The device will read all of the PCM maps at various speeds and driving conditions. From that data, Chuck can dial it in for you and send you a reflash that will be uploaded to your PCM via the OBD2 device.
Feel free to correct me where I am wrong Chuck! : )

What are the major differences between this type of tune and the one where you drive in to the shop?
He uses this device called EFI autocal to capture data from your car he dials your engine in by sending you adjustment/ tune files via email. You then load up his latest tune file via the autocal and capture more data logs and email back to him. You keep doing this procedure until your car is dialed in to the way you and him are happy with it. Quite effective. I got my car done with him this way. I am very happy with it.
Hi Chuck,
New here and love this forum. I have a 98 Vert, 145,000 on the clock, great condition and runs great. Totally stock.
However, it's getting older like me and I have decided to help it breath easier. Ordered a Blackwing CAI to assist with that thought. Should I install a tune?
Thanks,
Ricky
Chuck and his guys did my 04 in Carlisle a few years ago , I love it , and definitly recommend COW . I was going to get the tune done elsewhere but ran into Chuck and we had a good chat , he explained what he was doing . So he won me over great guy. Ron

Yes, ABSOLUTELY! Call me and I'll go over it for you.
Amazing what some adjustments to the factory settings can do for a car.
Please offer some specifics, including mpg changes.
I'm considering this, for a totally stock C5 M6, but while understanding the procedure, there's no what behind the wow in any posts.
I understand the factory tune makes allowances for various fuels, etc. while ensuring the emissions are licit for many years. I'm not displeased with the car now, but always looking for improvements.
How does the driveability of a base LS1 get expressed? Seems time-wise to offer many of us more specifics versus everyone calling. Isn't that part of why we come here?
