Hi guys!
I'm new to the forum. Hoping someone can help me with this. I have a 1997 Corvette that has a windshield with a logo that is laminated into the glass that reads "EXTREME PERFORMANCE". The car also has some brush painted pin striping and lettering on the rear panel that reads the same. I have not had any success finding information on this on the web, so, I was hoping maybe somebody here has heard of or seen something about this. Thank you in advance!
It is likely nothing more than the previous owner thinking highly of their car and adding the stick and lettering. If it is stock, there is nothing "extreme" about it.
Well what else is "extreme" about the car? Knowing that may help identify the source.
Welcome
A pic may also help
This is a pic from inside the car (passenger seat) looking out. There really isn't anything else identifiable other than the brush painted lettering on the rear of the car. The brush painted word (EXTREME) at the rear of the car has worn off and the only lettering remaining is the word (PERFORMANCE). This car is all stock as far as I can tell.
I agree with those saying it's mostly likely something put on by the previous owner. Saw quite a bit of windshield banners similar to this back in the late 90's
When you inspected it when you bought it did you see headers? Does anything under the hood not look stock? Is there a cold air intake? does it lope at idle? Take a pic of under the hood and share it.
