12 Disc Player
My 12 disc player worked great until this year. It seems to load up Ok but when I press the CD button on the radio I just get an "Err" message.
The radio itself works fine.
Any Ideas ? thanks.

Not sure what body style but my coupes disc changer is inside the large/middle storage compartment in the rear. It's mounted towards the back of the tub and there's a wiring harness connected to it. The plug may have dislodged. Worth a shot.

If an error occurs while trying to play a CD in the
CD player or changer, the following conditions may
have caused the error:
• It is very hot. When the temperature returns to
normal, the CD should play.
• You are driving on a very rough road. When the
road becomes smooth, the CD should play.
• The CD is dirty, scratched, wet, or upside down.
• The air is very humid. If so, wait about an hour
and try again.
• There may have been a problem while burning
the CD.
• The label may be caught in the CD player.
• The CD changer door is open. Completely close
the changer door to restore normal operation.
• An empty magazine is in the CD changer.
Try the magazine again with a CD loaded on
one of the trays.
If the CD is not playing correctly, for any other reason,
try a known good CD.

I had that same problem. It may have gone bad and needs to be rebuilt.
If so, I recommend you send it in for rebuild along with a check for $220 to

I had mine rebuilt in Feb/March and it works great!
Dr Don will tell you the unit must be flat horizontal (gravity you know) and cushioned for best results

I'd just buy a good used one from the for sale section or on the big auction site for about $100.

I have had this happen to me when a CD was in it that it could not read. Usually a CD I made from a recordable CD. While you have the Err displayed, you should be able to see which CD it is trying to read. If so, remove CD from tray and try listening to others. You should be good to go.

I've had + results running a cleaning CD thru, per its instructions. Little brushes attached to the disk clean the laser lens of dust/dirt.
