Default Pilot sport a/s 3+ zp (w- or y-speed rated)

My 2001 C5 is headed to Carlisle in 2 weeks and need tires now, How are the Michelin Sport A/S 3+ZP? Are these ok? As I have original Good Year run flats (16 years, 35,000 miles. Ha ha) and drive my car only a handful of times each month and not using on a track or crazy performance driving. Want to get today as Carlisle is around the corner. I appreciate your help.

Thanks

Tom

Replaced the original Goodyear Run Flats with Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ non run flats on my 2001 29K miles. Absolutely would recommend. Better ride, quieter less harsh.

Mine are Y rated. 30,000 warranty. Excellent Tire. Better ride and much quieter. And yes they are the run-flats

doesn't really matter which one you use if you aren't going to meet or exceed that speed

Is there a difference in the w or y?

Thanks

Tom

Mine are Y rated...non run flat. Car feels better than new. These Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ Non Rin Flat were not inexpensive, but I asssume worth it???? Time will tell. Right now they're great. Original owner of 2001 Coupe, 29k miles, chose non run flat for comfort and fact it used so sparingly. Truthfully, I haven't experienced a flat tire with any of my cars as long as can remember. I'm old so my memory helps here a bit. Haha.
