Turn signals; Sometimes they work. Sometimes they don't.
Bought a used 2002 C5 and after having it for several weeks now I have found that there is a problem with the turn signals. Sometimes they work. Sometimes they don't. This only occurs maybe 10% of the time and usually when I'm in crowded traffic and need them the most.
I had taken the car to a Chevy dealer in in No. Va. and asked them to check it out. They must have been working fine when I took it in because they said they couldn't find anything wrong with them. And they happened to be working when I took the car in for it's Va. safety inspection.
I can't remember what changes have taken place when they decide to start working again but today they stopped on a ride home. After I got home I turned the C5 off and then back on again and they were working fine.
That's about all the information I can offer to help diagnose the problem so if anyone has had a similar experience and found I solution I'd be grateful.
Tks,
Doug

I installed the by-pass harness with flasher. About 50 bucks, comes with pictured instructions and I did it in about 30 minutes without a problem. It is a lot easier than replacing hazard flasher.

Thanks everyone. I found the previous threads this subject as well and the consensus appears to be the hazard light switch.....and thanks for the repair tutorials. Looks like a relatively easy fix.
