Default Shifter vibration

I've been having shifter vibration issues for alittle while now. I started to think it was the mgw shifter so I changed it back to stock and it's still vibrating. Has anyone came up with any fixes for this??

Did this start recently, or since you made a change of some sort?
Any chance it's just the LS6?
If no changes and new, maybe motor mount issue?

Have you checked the bushings on the the lower shifter housing? another thing to check is the **** itself, the insert sometimes comes loose inside the ****, I turned mine upside down and ran superglue down the splines and that stopped all rattling on mine.

This started happening after the clutch job. I did have a drivetrain vibration but that ended up being the aftermarket clutch. Before we narrowed down the clutch i changed the harmonic balancer and engine mounts. The drivetrain vibration is gone but there was still vibration in the shifter . I thought it was just the short throw shifter so I changed back to the stock shifter and it's still vibrating. Can you post a pic of the bushings your talking about?? I'd really appreciate it.

with a MGW lower box you don't need any bushings other than what it comes with !!!!! MGW back to stock ????

That's what I have and it rattles. I'm going to try the teflon tape trick for the ball.

the lower box is what sets the MGW apart from the rest, it is why they shift so well !!!! IMO !!!

It worked for me, and my MGW didn't come with a lower box.
