Busy, busy!
Well, I just finished watching "Saving Private Ryan"... again. That is one good movie!
Think I'll go out and wash my 03 Vert.
Oh wait..... is that "Dances with Wolves" coming on?? Yes,it is!!
Oh well, there's a 5 percent chance of rain anyway.
I wonder if my wife remembered to buy more popcorn?
Gotta go!!

I honestly thought you were a troll account, made to antagonize the older members of the forum...
Did some research and you realized you're just an older guy excited about his new Corvette! Hope I'm as cheery as you at 68.

Have fun watching the movies. I'd rather be driving the car.

Movie is over. Good show.
Not a troll, just an old man loving my Corvette just as you described.
I did wash it a few minutes ago.
I've had my Corvette a couple of months now and love working on it. So far I've (me, myself and I) put on both belts (a/c belt almost kicked my tail), new upper and lower hoses with new coolant, new passenger door window regulator, installed a Wind Restrictor, hard wired my radar detector into the accessory pigtail in the foot well, flushed the brake fluid, changed the oil and filter, installed a new air filter, treated the top with 303 protectant, had a double din stereo unit with gps and a backup camera installed and put about 3000 miles on the car.
About half of those with the top down and my wife sitting in the passenger seat with a smile on her pretty face!
As I said busy, busy.
Not bad for an old fat man!

Hey Grampa1, one old fart to another (74), I just got back from a go to store ride of 30 miles in my 04 vert. Wifee said where were you? After 51 years of marriage, you learn sometimes never answer with the truth. You have mechanical skills I do not. I am blessed with a C5 that so far has not given me any trouble that I need a C5 specialist to fix. Love to drive it with the top down. Reminds me of the 60's.

I can probably take a picture of the unit in the car and post it. Give me a few days to figure out how to post pics.
I did take pictures of the vert on my jack stands and all the parts I planned to do. I will post those too!

I bought my C5 convertible from a forum member and he was the original owner. The car was immaculate! It only had 28,000 miles on it!
I decided to do everything I did just for peace of mind. Now I know how old the hoses and belts and fluids are.
I wanted the gps and backup camera just to modernize it a little.
My wife and I love it!!

I'm older than you, but my wife and I just celebrated our 47th anniversary yesterday. Of course, a couple of trips to a sunny southeastern jungle probably slowed me down.
Congratulations to all the medicare generation in their Vettes!!

Ah,,,,a Post I can relate to.
72, married 48 years next week, C-5 and a C-7, owned Vettes since 1969, apparently this affliction is chronic, but not fatal.
