Default TCS C1255 electrical gremlins?

I originally posted this in the Tech forum:

98 convertible, M6, early version with the rear mounted EBCM. Base suspension (no active handling or magnetic ride).

I just got my first TCS C1255 code. During a very hard left turn, I got a Service Vehicle Soon message. I dumped the codes in the DIC, and had 2 codes:

TCS C1281
TCS C1255

Both appear to have occurred simultaneously, since I only got the SVS message once. The 1281 code has happened intermittently since the car was new. The dealer was never able to fix it so it has been ignored. There have been no detrimental effects (such as loss of magnasteer). The accompanying 1255 code is new. There were no other warning lights on the dash, just the SVS message.

Of course, I'm hoping the EBCM is ok, and the cause is some other electrical gremlin related to the 1281 code.

I read Bill Curlee's notes on C5 Chassis Grounds. It sounds like that is a possible culprit. Question: Bill's notes are for his 99 with the front mounted EBCM. Are the ground locations different for a rear mounted EBMC? Which is it?

I've also read that it could also be a wheel sensor. Is this reasonable, considering the message occurred during a hard turn? I was not accelerating hard, so the wheels should not have lost traction or spun.

I'm also wondering if there might be a loose connection someplace. The reason for this is I just replaced the OEM goodyear runflats. The ride is very much improved, and I have noticed the intermittent 1281 code occurs much less frequently now.

I just replaced the battery due to my stereo losing power when cranking. Before replacing it I checked the charging system at the battery and the alternator to verify the alternator was ok. Battery read 14.2 V, alternator read 14.4 V, DIC reports 13.5 V. I've been told that this may be a sign that my ignition switch is corroded. I'm guessing this should have no affect on the EBCM, but thought I would ask.

What other places should I look?

Update: Since I originally posted this, I've had it out for a few more drives, neither 1281 nor 1255 have reappeared.

I'm planning on taking it on a road trip to N. Wisconsin. I don't think I have any dependability issues, but since the 1255 is new I thought I would ask.
