I didn't (body) color code anything, just polished the engine parts completely.

It is important for me to dress up my engine bay because of the four groups that see it:

Between 3 and 4 I guess. I like a tastefully done engine compartment, but mine is just fine with me (headers only addition, red covers removed).

I enjoy a clean engine bay, not going to bend over backwards for it. More important to me that it runs properly. I do get satisfaction of replacing a part, and seeing it nice and clean in the bay. Covers/chrome/paint? No thanks, no purpose.

Load it up man. Mines not color matched to the car but I think it looks okay. I really like Choreo's engine cover but they don't make one for a dual fuel line setup.

For me, just really clean does it, though I do like upgrades that end up "looking like" it might have been built that way. Oh hell, I like looking at "over the top" upgrades too.

My engine bay is clean, with a few upgrades. Some that most people would not notice. I like the color coded stuff, but have not figured out what I want. I show my car a lot and I know that would help, so eventually I will get it there. I just don't want it to look gaudy!

I've done a lot of color matching to my engine bay. So I guess I would be in the first category.

What about upgrade by necessity? I had to do a balancer, so I did ATI....I needed a mechanical belt tensioner, so a Katech unit was deployed. At the same time, I did Gates Racing Blue belts. Not long after that, I did an Elite Engineering oil vapor can....a Blackwing air filter, etc...
