Might have to take the grey down a notch. Anybody ever paint these pieces? They have to be black,
I have, after trying several different brands I like the ColorBond paints best. Just clean the parts well, just before spraying the Adhesion Promoter wipe the part down with light denatured alcohol, spray with Adhesion Promoter, spray several LIGHT coats of color, finish with a Matte clear coat
SEM is also good paint, but I found their colors didn't my OEM match well, but you are going black so matching shouldn't be an issue.
Same steps as ColorBond. Try to use the same companies products throughout the process. Same brand of Adhesion Promoter, Paint Color, and Matte clear coat. I found mixing different companies products can result in the different layers not getting along
Green body, not a fan, but it is YOUR car.
But green carpet...
...green and a brown/tan interior, black carpet go together, not orange.
Someday you might want to sell, and it will be a bear!
Just sayin.

However, it would only be a matter of changing the seat covers, no big deal. That's like not buying a house because the wife doesn't like the drapes.
Spike, I'm loving it. I love Fairway green and, well, I'm in an 'orange period' in my life now, so I like everything.
There are 2 wires in the right wheel well near the tunnel sort of under the glove box. I think they are yellow, orange and black. One of them is always hot, the other switched and the black is ground.

I found those wires in that connector. How handy is that! I wired a Valentine 1 up over the mirror using that connector. Great find!
Put in some time today , painted the brake calipers on the passenger side, while I was in there, did a brake job and bled the brakes. I was thinking about doing the Z06 shocks too but I didn't know if my local auto parts store carried them and didn't want to put some generic brand on there:
I bled the brakes and put the wheels back on, it's pouring outside now and tomorrow I'm working at the track. So Thursday and Friday I'll work on drivers side and post more photos.
Calipers were completely Dirty. Hand scrubbed them with brake cleaner and a wire brush.
The only thing my local paper is good for: this and picking up dog ****.
The hardest part is getting this cleaned and painted. I would have removed it, but I never did that before and wasn't sure what would happen to the brake fluid.
Primed up and ready to paint. These pieces came out great. The primer looked real good, I was tempted to leave it like that.
These were also easy to paint, although it took about four coats to get decent coverage.
I'm a fan, Spike, I was originally going to do orange in my car. Which paint did you use?
I'm in Morristown, NJ, not all that far from you. Do you ever go to the Bear Mt. Cruise nite on Wednesdays?

I used a Dupli Color Primer, then a Rustoleum Orange, but it didn't cover well. So I ran out and got the Dupli Color Orange. All paints are high heat for motors. I haven't been to Bear Mountain Yet, I'm only 30 Minutes from there. Let me know if you plan on going one night.

Next week is their annual show, but I have a club meeting. Will have to meet next summer!!
Painted the driver's side calipers today, the primer goes on so nice, the main color not so much. I did a little brush work after they were installed. Did pads and flushed brakes too. Trying to load image it's not working. Will start new thread when all put back together.
My calipers are teal. Body supply wanted me to spray but I insisted on using a good brush because I don't have confidence in myself removing the calipers.
Spike, even tho' you are probably not ready, I know you'd make a big splash at our show in a couple of weeks. I'm personally inviting you.
Here's the info:
I can text or email the entire form to you so you can download/print it.
